Where the data comes from
The register is compiled from the published list of licensed operators maintained by Kenya's Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), the body that took over from the BCLB in 2026. For each operator we record the licensed company, its licence number(s) and category (BK for sportsbook, PG for casino/public gaming, PL for public lottery), what it's licensed to offer, its register status, and its official website where one is recorded. We don't add operators that aren't on the GRA's list.
How often it's reviewed
We review the register against the GRA's published list on a periodic basis and after any significant regulatory change. Each review updates the date stamp shown on the register so you can see how current it is. Licences are granted, renewed, and occasionally lapse, so the regulator's own list is always the final authority — we say so on every operator page and link to it directly.
What the register does and doesn't tell you
- It does tell you whether an operator is licensed in Kenya, by which company, under which licence, and for which products.
- It doesn't rank operators, rate them, or tell you any operator is "good" or "safe" to bet large. A licence means an operator is regulated and you have recourse through the GRA — not that you'll win, or that you should play more.
Independence
The register is neutral fact, listed equally for every licensed operator. We take no commission, and operator links are plain reference links to official sites — not affiliate or tracking links. The only place we offer an opinion is our clearly-labelled tested operators page, and even there we take no commission. How we form those opinions is described in how we test operators.
